Why Queen Anne's Lace? 

I asked myself that same question, and realized that I associate this plant with quiet afternoon walks with my grandmother—walking down the street in the summer shaded by huge shady willow oak and a profusion of Queen Anne's Lace in the sunny ditches on either side. This may have been the first 'flower' I ever identified as a child. 

Viewing this wild flower, this flowering weed (wild carot), also gives me a great sense of comfort, for it thrives anywhere it is just left to its own devices. It is the ultimate in self-reliance.

I always think of that line from Jurassic Park, "life will find a way".

This began with a few randon pieces, and grew to a whole series, quite by accident.

I actually realized I had a series after the fact.
